Nausea & constipation are the two most common side effects. Nausea is generally managed with an accompanying daily vitamins, botanicals (ginger) or prescription medication as needed. Constipation is managed with a supplement blend prescribe by Dr. Rachael. Other side effects include upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, heartburn, & burping.

When combined with a nutritious diet, exercise regimen, and adequate sleep, weight loss is expected to occur at 5 lbs per month.

You will be provided a sleep optimization handout during your initial consultation. Following the exercise recommendations will aid in sleeping well. Targeted supplementation available in office – just ask while you’re in & Dr. Rachael will speak with you about it.

If you choose the injection option of weight loss sauce, Dr. Rachael will teach you how to do your injections & have you do one in the office before sending you home.

Tirzepatide was on the FDA shortage list 12/15/2022 – 10/02/2024, meaning there was too much demand & the manufacturer couldn’t keep up with demand. As of 10/2024 – the FDA determined that the issue was resolved…thus a doctor should be able to prescribe the medication to your local pharmacy. Of note: semaglutide is also on the FDA drug shortage list.
